Slow cooker Coca-Cola pulled pork is such an easy meal. However, it isn’t just easy, it is absolutely delicious too! Perfect for a busy weeknight, just throw all of the ingredients in your slow cooker, and go about your day! Simple as that.
Living in the south, pulled pork is a big deal. My family just loves it. There are so many different types of pulled pork and sauces, from tomato based sauce to sauces with a vinegar base, to put on the pork.
My favorite kind of pulled pork to prepare for my family is one that is super simple and doesn’t require too much effort. This recipe is great because the slow cooker does all of the work for you! Also, this can easily be made for a crowd. Having people over after work or a after a busy weekend day on the soccer or baseball field? Serve this pulled pork along with your favorite side dishes. We typically serve this slow cooker Coca-Cola pulled pork on toasted sesame buns with a side of baked beans, potato salad or chips and green beans.
For this recipe, I used Coca-Cola because it’s what we had in the house. However, I’ve used root beer before and add so much wonderful flavor too! Also, you can use whatever bbq sauce your family loves! We really like the sweet honey bbq sauce, but if you like a spicy sauce, use that! I just love recipes that are so simple to tweak to my family’s taste!
Slow Cooker Coca-Cola Pulled Pork – Recipe
Ingredients
1 pork butt (the one I used was about 7 lbs)
1/2 onion cut into thin slices

About 2 cups bbq sauce

10 oz Coca-Cola (root beer is delicious too)

1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Spray inside of slow cooker with a non-stick cooking spray
Place pork butt in crockpot

Spread sliced onions on pork butt

Sprinkle garlic powder and salt and pepper over pork butt

Pour in the Coca-Cola
Pour bbq sauce on top of pork butt

Cook on low heat for about 9-10 hours

Drain most of the liquid from the slow cooker, leaving some in with the pork
Remove some of the fat from pork butt, if desired
Shred pork (this can easily be done inside the slow cooker)
Enjoy!

Serve this for dinner with a piece of banana pudding poke cake for dessert, and your family will be thrilled!

Instructions
- Spray inside of slow cooker with a non-stick cooking spray
- Place pork butt in slow cooker
- Put sliced onions, garlic, salt and pepper on pork
- Pour in Coca-Cola
- Pour bbq sauce over pork butt
- Cook on low heat for about 9 hours
- Drain most of the liquid from slow cooker, leaving just a little in with the pork
- Remove some of the fat from the pork butt, if desired
- Shred pork (this can be done directly in slow cooker)
