A simple yogurt parfait will make a delicious and healthy breakfast. Whether you are preparing breakfast for your kids before school or as a late-morning weekend breakfast, this yogurt parfait is amazing. Also, if you need something light and yummy for breakfast before heading into work, this makes the perfect breakfast!
In addition to being extremely delicious for breakfast, a simple yogurt parfait would make a wonderful afternoon snack. I have mentioned it before, but that mid-afternoon energy lull is a struggle for many people, This would include busy moms or anyone on the go! Keep a container of your favorite yogurt along with your favorite toppings on hand, and make a yogurt parfait for that much needed afternoon snack!
One of the best things about preparing a simple yogurt parfait is that it can be customized to your taste! In my family, we absolutely love berries of all kinds. Our favorites are strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. We also always have bananas in the house, therefore our parfaits typically include bananas and some berries. In addition to fruit, I always add some granola on top for a nice crunch. If you want an extra-sweet parfait, add some semi-sweet chocolate chips and/or shredded coconut.
