Easy Cinnamon Pull Apart Monkey Bread With Canned Biscuits

Cinnamon pull apart monkey bread is such a wonderful comfort food. The butter, sugar and cinnamon all come together for the perfect flavor. This recipe can be used as a breakfast or brunch or even served after a meal as a dessert.

This sweet breakfast food can be made so many different ways! You can add nuts such as walnuts or pecans for a nice crunch. Also, raisins make a great addition to this monkey bread recipe.

Want to put a different spin on the traditional monkey bread? Skip the brown sugar/butter mixture and add a glaze after its done baking. This can be a traditional vanilla glaze, cream cheese icing, or you could drizzle Nutella or peanut butter on top of the baked money bread!

Super easy to make

As a busy mom, I love when a recipe is simple and can be put together in minutes. This is one of those! Using refrigerated biscuits makes this cinnamon pull apart money break so easy. Just open a couple cans of biscuits and it truly can be prepared and in the oven within ten minutes or less!

Also, making this ahead of time is an option. Just put everything together and place in fridge until ready to bake. Just don’t forget that you’ll need to either increase baking time or bring it closer to room temperature before baking!

Easy Cinnamon Pull Apart Monkey Bread with Biscuits- Recipe

Ingredients

canned biscuits, butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and vanilla
  • Two cans refrigerated biscuits (I used Pillsbury Grands)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4-1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Next, spray bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

Then, open both cans of biscuits and place on a flat surface.

Cut each biscuit into quarters

In a large gallon sized bag, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. After those are combined, add the biscuit quarters. Close the bag and shake well to make sure the biscuit quarters are coated evenly in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.

Next, place the cinnamon coated biscuits evenly in the greased bundt pan.

Set the pan aside while you combine the melted butter, brown sugar (adding more or less to taste) and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.

After mixing butter, sugar, and vanilla together, evenly pour onto the cinnamon biscuits.

Place pan in preheated oven for about 35 minutes or until cooked all the way through.

Let cool for about 10-15 minutes and then carefully place serving plate or tray over the bundt pan and turn over. If it doesn’t come out of the pan perfectly, its ok! This cinnamon monkey bread will still taste amazing!

Serve this easy cinnamon pull apart monkey bread with your favorite cup of coffee and a side of turkey sausage for a complete breakfast!

  2. Take biscuits out and cut into quarters
  3. Place cinnamon and granulated sugar in big gallon sized bag and combine
  4. Add quartered biscuits to the bag and shake to coat evenly
  5. Place cinnamon coated bisuits into greased bundt pan and set aside
  6. Combine melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a medium bowl
  7. Pour brown sugar/butter mixture on top of biscuits
  8. Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Once cooled, carefully flip over onto serving tray or plate and enjoy!
