Easter Rice Krispie treats are such an easy and fun snack to make at home. My kids love making Rice Krispie treats. They are so simple and require few ingredients. Making them into different shapes, makes these even better!
Prepare Rice Krispie Treats
First, follow the instructions on the back of a package of marshmallows or box of Rice Krispies. Because they are so simple to prepare, have your kids help you! My children absolutely love helping me in the kitchen. They feel so proud of any food that they help prepare.
After Rice Krispie treats are prepared, let them cool. Also, I recommend lining the bottom of the dish you use with parchment paper. This way, the whole sheet of treats can be easily removed from the dish.

Cut Treats into Fun Shapes
In addition to being easy, Rice Krispie treats are just so cute for any holiday! Especially when made into festive shapes. Since Easter is coming up, I decided to use Easter shaped cookies cutters. I purchased mine from the holiday section in my local Target. The pack I bought included a cute bunny, Easter egg and a chick shape along with a few others.
Gather your kids and their friends and let them pick their favorite cookie cutter. Then, press the cookie cutters into the sheet of prepared Rice Krispie treats.

Decorating Time!
Once you have your shapes cut out, get your favorite toppings. This can include colored icing, springs, marshmallows, or candy coated chocolates.

These not only look super cute, they taste amazing too! When my kids made these, they didn’t last long. We ate them as a treat after dinner and I put them in my kids lunches.
Go get your kids and prepare these! They will definitely thank you!
