Banana Pudding Poke Cake

Banana pudding poke cake is the perfect combination of flavors. Doesn’t a traditional banana pudding paired with a yummy, yet easy box cake sound so good? It does to me! The taste of the vanilla flavor from cake and condensed milk along with the bananas and banana flavored pudding is just so yummy. Because this cake is so delicious, I have to admit that it is very difficult for me to stop eating this cake.

This cake is called a “poke cake” because of the holes poked in the cake after it comes out of the oven. After poking holes in a poke cake, you immediately pour something creamy (such as pudding) over the top of the cake letting the mixture soak into the holes of the cake. This turns a simple box cake into a decadent treat!

Banana pudding poke cake is a wonderful dessert to bring to a party, pot luck at church, family gathering or just serve it to your family at home! It will definitely be a crowd pleasure. Also, this cake makes a wonderful dessert after having a hearty meal like my weeknight turkey chili.
